Anagenix exists to turn New Zealand–grown whole fruit into clinically proven natural health solutions, while building a traceable, sustainable value chain that benefits people, communities, and the environment.

At Anagenix, New Zealand–grown wholefruit ingredients and clinical science come together to improve human health and reduce environmental impact across our value chain. We commit to ethical, traceable sourcing, transparent manufacturing, and evidence-based innovation, so every product can be trusted by our customers, partners, and growers alike. Guided by our four sustainability pillars – Our Value Chain, Our Products, Our People, and The Environment – we pay at least the Living Wage, partner directly with growers, and invest in an empowering, safe workplace. Our goal is to use business as a force for inclusive, equitable, and regenerative growth in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.

Our sustainability pillars

Our Value Chain – Traceable Sustainable Supply Chain

Quality, nutrient-dense whole fruit from environmentally responsible New Zealand growers is the backbone of our business. We maintain full transparency from product to grower, with ingredients traceable from orchard to finished powder, and this traceability will deepen over time to strengthen trust and accountability across our value chain.

We conduct regular site visits and work only with suppliers who meet high environmental and social standards, backed by our Supplier Code of Conduct covering human rights, safe working conditions, environmental practices, and business ethics. Our platinum EcoVadis rating recognises strong performance in sustainable procurement and governance throughout this supply chain.

Our Products – Product Superiority, Backed by Science

Our solutions harness the naturally balanced nutritional value that whole fruit provides, using minimal intervention processes that respect the complete nutritional package nature intended. All our ingredients are proven effective through robust clinical and scientific research, including peer-reviewed publications, notified health claims, and multiple ongoing clinical studies.

We collaborate with leading New Zealand research organisations and universities to identify key bioactives, optimise formulations, and validate health outcomes, ensuring our products deliver measurable benefits at low doses. This science-first approach has been recognised by industry awards for innovation and product excellence in natural health.

Our People – An Empowering Place to Work

Anagenix is an accredited Living Wage Employer, ensuring everyone who works with us—employees and regular contractors—earns at least a fair, independently assessed wage. We support our people with flexible work options, regular health and safety training, mental health and wellbeing initiatives, and ongoing listening through engagement surveys and frequent check-ins.

Our culture is built on trust, inclusion, and development, with clear policies on diversity, equity and inclusion, and a commitment to providing a safe, healthy workplace for everyone. By investing in our team’s capability and wellbeing, we create the foundation for long-term innovation and impact.

The Environment – No Nutrient Left Behind

Our innovative whole-fruit approach ensures minimal nutrient loss between the orchard and the final product, connecting environmental health directly to human health. At our Auckland manufacturing facility, proprietary freeze-drying and powdering processes preserve bioactive content so products remain effective at low doses, while upcycling “ugly” fruit that might otherwise go to waste.

We continuously improve our packaging to reduce material use, increase renewable and recyclable content, and minimise waste to landfill, alongside internal systems for sorting and recycling different waste streams. Energy efficiency upgrades, including low impact refrigeration systems, and annual greenhouse gas inventories help us track and reduce the climate impact of our operations over time.

Recognition and community

In 2025, Anagenix achieved a platinum EcoVadis rating with a score of 91/100, placing us in the top 1% of more than 130,000 companies assessed globally for sustainability performance. This independent assessment validates our leadership across environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Our sustainability strategy is informed by engagement with employees, growers, manufacturing partners, and customers, as well as a formal materiality assessment to focus on the issues that matter most. We are developing a structured community giving approach centred on gut health and nutrition initiatives, deepening our contribution to the communities connected to our supply chain and our science.
