OUR SCIENCE
At Anagenix, we take pride in offering our customers products that are firmly rooted in scientific excellence. Our commitment to providing you with the best stems from our rigorous approach to ingredient development and efficacy validation.
Proven by science
Our dedication to science has led to remarkable outcomes. With three peer-reviewed publications and another currently under review, alongside two manuscripts awaiting review, we stand at the forefront of cutting-edge research. Furthermore, we’re actively engaged in five ongoing clinical studies, with four more planned for the future. See our publications, manuscripts and clinical studies
Leading the way in patents
Our innovative spirit has resulted in the generation of an impressive intellectual property portfolio. We’ve been granted 18 patents, and our relentless pursuit of innovation is reflected in the 27 patents we currently have filed. A total of 45 granted or filed patents attest to our commitment to pushing boundaries. See our granted and filed patents for Livaux, BerriQi and Feiolix
Expertise that matters
Our team includes globally recognised PhDs specializing in microbiology and neuroscience. Their expertise ensures our products are crafted with precision and a deep understanding of the science behind them.
Championing collaboration
Collaboration fuels our progress. We collaborate with esteemed research institutions, including universities and Crown Research Institutes, both in New Zealand and internationally. This network of partnerships empowers us to stay ahead in the field of research and development.
In harmony with nature
Nature is our ally, and we respect its wisdom. By working in harmony with nature, we extract the maximum value from locally-grown fruits. Our philosophy of ‘whole-fruit for whole-health’ embodies our commitment to delivering the complete nutritional benefits that nature intended our bodies to receive. Furthermore, to uphold our sustainability goals we work only with ‘ugly’ fruit that might otherwise be wasted. While they’re not so good looking on the outside, they’re beautiful on the inside.
Beneficial bioactives
Navigating the intricacies of whole fruits is our forte. We identify key bioactives that are backed by credible scientific research. These bioactives become the foundation of our ingredients, ensuring that every dose offers tangible health benefits.
PROVEN HEALTH BENEFITS
Once vital bioactives are identified, our expertise comes into play. We meticulously formulate our products to guarantee that these health-enhancing bioactives are present in optimal levels. This commitment to quality assurance is what sets us apart. We have a notified Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) health claim for Actazin (see below) and are completing one for Livaux. Our active ingredients are also Australia TGA approved.
Bowel function claim for Actazin
Anagenix has obtained a Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) notified health claim for Actazin®. This means products containing at least 600 mg of the green kiwifruit powder may now be able to include the health claim that it: “supports normal bowel function by promoting bowel regularity”.
RECOGNISED AND AWARDED
Our dedication to excellence has been recognized on a global scale. Livaux, one of our standout ingredients, earned the prestigious NutraIngredients Prebiotic of the Year Award in both the US and Asia in 2020. In 2022, we achieved an unprecedented feat by winning this esteemed award across three continents: the US, Asia and Europe. Furthermore, we were honoured with NHPNZ’s Cawthron Innovation Award for our ground-breaking work on Feiolix.
